Can You Say Hypocrite?

For those that don't exactly know the true meaning of the word "hypocrite" here is the definition directly from the Webster's Dictionary itself 1 : a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion 2 : a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings

I can assume right now you guys are all wondering to yourself why is she bringing this up and what does it have to do with anything... well I'm gonna tell ya. Where shall I start... the beginning sounds good. Here ya have this person, let's call them "Dingbat" and it has this blog where in this blog it writes all about others and in particular others that it works with. On one particular blog it describes in detail it's feelings towards another co-worker and this co-worker's work ethic. Basically stating that if you don't like your job or what you do, leave. Okay again I repeat my self .... CAN YOU SAY HYPOCRITE???? For someone to sit and blog day after day, hour after hour, about others only to have yourself act and portray those same characteristics, I'm thinking have you not read your own damn blog lately????

There is a very funny ending to this story however, well let's just say that "Dingbat" opened it's mouth and stuck it's foot, actually both feet right in. As I sat back and watched the story unfold so smoothly too. It is a shame that one has so much to say about others behind their backs or on its little blog, but yet never can say a thing to the person directly...hmmm what do they call that again, OH that's right a coward. Seriously one should think more thoroughly before one acts on their stupidity. By the way, if you just so happen to be reading this, whenever you scrape up the nerve to confront me face to face just let me know, I'm ready anytime. Like I stated before one should really gather all the facts before blaming one for what one never did... assumptions remember only make an "ass" out of you and me, but in this case just you.
April Showers Bring May Flowers, or Do They????
So the saying states that April showers bring May flowers, right? Well, in my life, to date April showers have brought wayyyy more than flowers.

Where to begin, let's start with the boys, everyone enjoys words about those two love bugs...
McKinlee is doing GREAT in the academic side of school, we are still have some behavior issues, well I can't actually say behavior, he likes to talk -- A LOT! I wonder where he got that from, anyone want to take a guess?!?! He is still having accidents, with wetting his pants but hopefully it is just an ACES (after school care) issue. That is the only place he has been doing it, except the occasional night bed wet, but those truly are accidents. Well there is like what, 10 days left of school so I'll keep you updated.

He has been spending A LOT of time with his future wife Emma, according to McKinlee she IS his future wife. He can't wait to he gets older so he can find Emma and marry her. Too sweet!

Unto Maddock, the little munchkin is now 11 months, eating like a pig and I have tried to get him to start drinking Milk.. WHOLE MILK, can you believe that he HATES it... YES I said that right he hates it. This truly shocks me, why you ask -- well his father can drink a gallon a day if you would let him and McKinlee probably could too. So instead of pulling him straight off formula and the bottle it is going to be a slow process. They weren't kidden when they say no two kids are a like. Night and Day I tell ya, besides their looks -- nothing a like. So needless to say I started off with the 3/4 formula, 1/2 milk -- then 1/2 formula and 1/2 milk... tonight 3/4 milk and 1/4 formula PRAY FOR ME... PLEASE!!!
Attached here to is the last I have to share of Maddock, he has recently taken up ice pops. They make them now in "mini" size... WELL mini or not they are still messy BUT the kid loves them, check out the video below.

Moving On...

So Lee has been looking for a new job, one that pays more, less travel, etc. Well, low and behold he stumbles upon one at "Handyman Matters" so GREAT that he puts in his 2 weeks notice at DR Horton. He is very excited about starting the new job and so am I, mo'money honey!!! So his last day at DR comes and they hand him this check for his last five days of pay and whatever vacation/sick time he had accrued. YEAH for us, a check that I was not excepting... RIGHT?!?! However, on May 15th I was expecting Lee's "last paycheck" to be direct deposited... so May 15th comes along I check the checking account -- NO money. So Lee calls DR, apparently they don't hold two weeks back... they owe us no monies. Now listen and try to figure this one out for, because apparently I am just either way too blond or just really stupid. He gets paid on the 15th and last day of each month. So, he signs his time sheet on the 16th of the month for the 1st to the 15th right and then signs his next time sheet on the 1st of the next month for the 16th to the last day of the previous month... ARE U FOLLOWING ME STILL??? So if he signed his time sheet on the 1st of May for April 16th to April 30th why did he not receive a check on the 15th you ask??? Well according to DR Horton he was paid from pay period April 16 to April 30 on April 30. Ummm okay he doesn't sign his time card until May 1st but okay if you say so?

Nevertheless, that situation has been an ongoing battle now for about 2 weeks, of course getting no where with it either. Anyhoot -- Lee goes to his new job for orientation and to fill out all his paperwork, only to find out now that he has no more job with DR Horton that Handyman Matters have changed their contracts and regulations. They want Lee to sign a NO COMPETE contract (not happening, been down that road, not doing that again) and they want him to put their decals of their company name all over our truck and take $200 from his first paycheck to pay for them. Ummm HELLO -- this is your company and I have to pay for your name on my truck, I don't think so you should be paying me to put your name on my truck. May be I am wrong here but in any case, Lee got screwed... We got screwed actually! Now Lee has been looking for a new job for three weeks and NO luck... so if anyone has any connections send him our way please.
Well there ya have it... like I said the April showers did a ton more then bring flowers into my life this glorious month of May BUT I am thankful that we are all happy and healthy :) This is always a positive.

Easter Eggs

Sunday, we spent the day coloring Easter Eggs. Lee picked up two different kinds of coloring kits, one of which was "tye-dye" coloring, although it was time consuming the eggs came out GREAT!

McKinlee really enjoyed himself this year. However, he is not understanding that the Easter Bunny doesn't "hide" the real eggs. I have been taking the eggs he has colored for breakfast and I got caught by McKinlee. He was not happy, so I explained to him that the Easter Bunny brings plastic eggs, just in case you don't find them all the eggs won't go bad. He believed it and now all is good in the Moy household.

Bath Time

Maddock has grown out of the baby bath tub and into the kitchen sink, however, as you can tell from the following photos he's grown out of the kitchen sink too.

I will say though my kitchen counter and floor haven't been so clean...

St. Patrick's Day, a day for the Irish...

I know I have stated this fact before, but for the record I will state it again. My husband, love 'em to death, is about 1/4 Irish, but he tends to believe that he is 100% Irish and with his real last name being "Moynahan" he sounds a lot more Irish then with our current last name "Moy." So YES we do celebrate the lucky day in our household. The kicker of all this is McKinlee now that he is in school and learning more and more everyday can tell you the meaning behind the holiday and all its little corks and such. I of course dressed the boys up for the special day...

Its Been Awhile...

I have not blooged in some time now, but so much has been going on in ourlives that blogging has not been the priority at the moment. So where to begin...

Well Maddock has had to have tubes put in, this took place on January 29th. Night and Day, people, Night and Day. He is a totally different baby since, eating better, sleeping better, all around happier. And best of all no more doctor appointments every week :)

Next on the list, I've finally have gone and had my MRI of my shoulder. And as we thought the bone spur needs to be removed off my collar bone and my shoulder bone will need to be cleaned up. I'm going under the knife on Friday, February 29th. I'm looking forward to being able to move my arm without pain but I'm not looking forward to not being able to move my arm for awhile to start out. :(

McKinlee had another awards day and yes he received an award for perfect attendance and I know my ABCs. I'm very proud, he's starting to read on his own, I can't believe it - time flies by.

That sums it up... here are some pics of the kids from the past two months

Tooth No. 2 Arrives

Sunday, was a beautiful day here in North Carolina 70 degrees, blue skies and the sun shined brightly upon us. Maddock was a bit fussy Saturday night and a little under the weather on Sunday. After changing him, playing with him, feeding him and everything else we could think of I discovered the root of our problem... Tooth No. 2 This whole cutting teeth thing, fever, drool, crankiness, etc is really new to me. YES this is child number 2 BUT McKinlee never went through anything like this, honestly he cut 4 teeth at once and I never even knew he had them. I know I'm a BAD mom. Anyhoot, after the root of the problem was discovered, ambesol was applied, Tylenol given and hence we now have happy baby!

Did Someone Say Play Time?

Okay so McKinlee is starting to finally come around, he loves to entertain his baby brother, but there is one small problem, Maddock doesn't like the man handling so much. Play with me, talk to me, tease me even but don't man handle me PLEASE!!! During play time though we discovered that Maddock, besides having 2 new teeth, has also discovered sitting up, feeding himself his cereal snacks and the best one of all holding his own bottle... YEAH!

Sitting Up, well, I'm getting there...

A Beautiful Day to Swing...

Sunday we spent outside in the afternoon it was way to nice to sit inside for another weekend. While McKinlee was off at church school Lee was loading up the firewood so he hung the baby swing up for Maddock. I got him in his seat and at first he was scared but by the end I believe he was enjoying himself.

Sick Baby :(

Christmas night was a little bit of a rough night with Maddock still not feeling 100% I had him stay home with Lee from daycare on Wednesday. By the time I got home he seemed to be feeling better and no fever so I decided to send him daycare on Thursday, to be safe I gave him some Motrin just before dropping him off. Well about 4:00 daycare called to say Maddock had a small temp 100.5 at 3:15. I called Lee and had him go get him. By evening last night Maddock sounded awful, really bad congestion in his chest I felt so bad for him, he couldn't breath, so sleep was out too. Lee stayed up with him most of the night because I had to work today.

So this morning at 9:01 I call the doctor's office -- appointment made for 11:00 Lee calls me at 11:21, NOW remember just took the munchkin on Monday -- common cold remember?!?! Verdict is -- double ear infection, bronchitis so bad just on verge of pneumonia and he now weighs 17lbs 1oz. Okay I'm sorry but what the heck -- 3 days ago common cold now this? I think honestly that the doctor is trying to cover his butt and I am not a happy mommy. My poor baby is suffering because these stupid doctor's don't want to give out antibiotics anymore. That's crap!

She gave him an antibiotic and said we have get him to take at least an ounce of formula for nutrition, he's lost too much weight in such a short period of time. ????? I'm confused the baby can't breath, his ears hurt and you want him to swallow a bottle -- ummm HELLO McFly? is there anyone out there? I'm seeing some difficulty in this task but yeah okay. And through all of this Maddock got his first tooth on Christmas Eve :)

The Christmas Holiday Has Arrived!

Christmas Eve started off with a sick baby and a visit to the doctor's office, only to have them tell me that he has a common cold and there isn't anything they can give him. However, they weighed him in at 18lbs 5oz, chunk. But he's my chunk of burnin' love! After a day of craziness, last minute shopping and everything else we got ourselves dressed up for the children's mass at our church. Okay so mass started at 4:30 we get there at 4:00 holy cow no place to sit. You would think that the church was giving away money -- oh wait we were giving them money. Anyhoot, mass was really nice, but loud (note to self -- next year no children's mass). After mass we headed over the bridge and through the woods to grandma's house we go :) We spent Christmas Evening with Grandma, Pop Pop, Uncle Wayne, Aunt Carolyn, Casey and Nicole. Mom made finger foods which was really nice not to have a heavy meal. Unfortunately, Maddock was still not feeling 100%, but we had a nice time anyhow. McKinlee of course got toys and was loving that how could he not. On our way home from Grandma's they announced on the radio that Santa was in Mississippi and heading our way next. Of course, McKinlee had to hurry up and get home so he could get to bed otherwise Santa would pass by Shady Brook Road. We got home got McKinlee in bed and he was pretty much out for the count after about 1/2 hour.

Christmas Morning!

McKinlee woke up around 8:00 to presents from Santa under the tree. His words were, "see Mommy I told you Santa thought I was a little bit good." Well all I could say to that was your right kiddo he sure did. A little advice to some newer parents or those to be new parents, when your child gets about 1/2 way through the pile and can't or should I say -- won't open anymore, you know then Santa shopped wayyyy toooo much!!! So McKinlee, got a Nintendo DS, games, board games, clothes, other toys and then he got the Wii or maybe actually Lee got the Wii In any event the family now has a Wii -- Guitar Hero is the BOMB! We spent the day basically playing Wii and Nintendo DS with McKinlee. Originally we had planned to go to Wayne and Carolyn's for dessert and drinks but Maddock was up all night and was still under the weather so decided to kill those plans and just stay home.

FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!

Okay so here ya have it, when Lee turned our car port into our family room he decided to move our dryer vent from the brick in front of the house (UGLY) to the soffit, which by the way hides it and looks much nicer :) However, now that the weather has gotten colder you can see the heat in the air from the dryer... hence the folks that continuously had to stop by Saturday morning, and when I say morning I'm talking like 7:00 a.m., to inform us that our house may be on FIRE! After about the fourth person knocking and Lee running out the front door to tell the people in our driveway that it is our dryer vent and I was drying clothes, Lee decided okay I'm taping a note to the front which reads "If you are here to tells about the smoke coming out of our roof to the right of the fireplace... it is our dryer vent, Thank you" As Lee is taping this note to the front door he hears the sirens, joking and laughing about it he comes in the house and says the fire department is on its way. I laughed at him and I said are you serious. He says nah just kidden... next thing ya know 3 fire trucks and the fire chief in my front yard. Go Figure! Well, so the saga continues.... Word of knowledge for today, when driving down Shady Brook Road in High Point, North Carolina you happen to see a house that looks like there may be what looks like smoke coming out of the roof... its NOT I just trying to do my laundry! But thanks for the input :)

Thanksgiving Day!

Prior to starting off our actual holiday of sorts -- Lee began construction on our roof. He was able to tear off a quarter of the roof in the back of the house (where the leak is) on Wednesday, and was able to refelt and shingle that same portion today. After he cleaned and relaxed for a while we headed to Wayne's house for some leftovers and dessert. Most importantly to see family that came in from all over the place. (I will post pictures of the roof another time)

Mckinlee started the holiday morning off hanging out with Libby. His most recently best friend. Don't ask because I'm not so sure but he's been all about the dogs these days.

Black Friday

My day started off taking the boys to daycare, YEAH! I'm actually getting a me day, well a me and Lee day. We went shopping for a little while, had lunch at Tripps (yes, I got toasted off one drink). Then we met up with gang at the bowling alley for some fun. Well, not so much fun for me but we all had a good time. I bowled a 45, I believe Julia bowled better then me. We called it quits around 4:30 - - headed home to get the boys and pack them up to go to grandma's for "Italian" night!

Nancy made homemade Baked Ziti, mom made homemade meatballs, add the bread and salad and there ya have it -- "Italian" night at the Wellinsky's (my maiden name).

I got Maddock all dressed up to go -- hence the Rocky Balboa look, well according to Lee. I love that hat, he's so cute.

Everyone got to enjoy the little guy, but his Aunt Sandi was the one that stole the sugar...

My favorite pic of the night however is the now and then... we have Maddock now (age 5 months) and then we have Maddock then (age 72)...
