Say Cheese!

Today was picture day in the Moy household. I must say the boys behaved very well, but after about the 40th shot they both had enough. Maddock started to cry and McKinlee started to flirt with the photographer. But we did get 49 shots and ended up walking home with 5 GREAT poses...

I'm taking orders for picture pose and size, just let me know. I know I know, I'm being biased BUT I have to say it... I really do make good looking kids, don't I? I'm sorry Lee helped too!

Now that I've bragged my babies up as much as possible, I'll let you enjoy the photos and be the judge on their looks. YES, McKinlee chose his hair style for the day, but mom did all the spiking!

Christening Day

Well, the day started off pretty good. Maddock woke up at the crack of dawn along with McKinlee. Of course, McKinlee was not gonna allow his Aunt Fran to sleep in though. But we made it through the morning without killing him.

We had a few hours to kill prior to the main event of the day and since Maddock was so happy, daddy decided to try him out in his johnny jumper (that he still can't reach the floor with). Even though the feet don't reach the floor he loves when you bounce him around in it. Well, enough fun and games, its time to start to get ready.

The big event went very well, Maddock was very fussy, he was fighting his nap like crazy! Unfortunately, my gracefulness shined brightly at the church. Fortunately, for me you are not allowed to video tape or take photos during the Christening, therefore, no one caught me hitting the hard marble floor behind the baptismal font. Apparently there are two steps and a ramp, that I decided to take fall on -- hence the black & blue ankle, the extremely sore thigh muscle too! Other then that, the Christening was beautiful.

After the formal celebration we all posed for some pictures and then headed over to Ham's by the Palladium for some grub, where some how the waiter they fired was the same one that took my reservations. Hence, there was no reservation for us :( We had to wait for few minutes for them to pull something together for us but it all turned out well -- we got free food for the inconvenience. Thank you waiter dude!!

Bad Day

Today, we were up early, 6 a.m. However, we did have tons of cleaning to do, Aunt Fran was coming to town for Maddock's Christening on Sunday. Apparently, Maddock was NOT happy with me sitting him in his bouncy seat while I cleaned, but eventually he calmed down.

After the cleaning was finished it was time to get showered, dressed and head out to the airport. When I say "we" I mean Maddock and I. McKinlee and his daddy went to swimming lessons, first day of his new class :) -- with any luck he will actually jump in from the side of the pool. I'm guessing not, but one can hope.

Once we picked Fran up and dropped her stuff off at the house we headed out for the day. Shop 'til we drop, just like the good ole days :) Shopping obviously did not sit well with McKinlee, hence the throw up on the Payless Shoe Store floor :( So much for shopping. We decided to call it quits for the day, we are gonna chill out for the evening... 8:00 p.m. We have a BIG day tomorrow.

Swimming Lessons
Well its Saturday morning and we are up at the crack of dawn (... thank you Maddock -- my little alarm clock). Today is a special Saturday morning for McKinlee, why you ask? Today, McKinlee will graduate from his Pike Swimming Class and move up to Eel. We are snapping some early morning photos and then its time to get ready for the first BIG event of the day.

This afternoon Maddock will be spending some time with his Uncle Wayne, Aunt Carolyn, Casey and Nicole (his cousins), while mom, dad and McKinlee go see Walking with Dinosaurs the Live Experience.

Dino Show
We made it back from the prehistoric time alive and well. We had a GREAT time. The show was so exciting that the 96 minute story seemed to take about 20 minutes. McKinlee loved the dinosaurs and I was so surprised to hear him call out each of their names. I don’t even know what each dinosaur is called, but the 5 year old does. How impressive! If you ever have the chance to see the show, take the kids. Its loud but not scary!
